Following recent Government guidance for GP surgeries to consider any surplus flu vaccines for the 50-64 year old age group, we are highly unlikely to have any surplus vaccines following predicted increase uptake of the vaccine this year.
If you are in this age group and classified in the ‘at risk’ category you will still be entitled to a NHS flu vaccine at your GP surgery this year and the surgery will be in touch.
If the Government provides additional flu vaccines for the 50-64 year old or the GP has any surplus vaccines, then the surgery will contact you to arrange vaccination but please do not ring or come to the GP surgery to enquire about the vaccine, the GP surgery will contact you if you are eligible.
