Dr. Simon de Vial is a GP Partner at the Practice. After more than 30 years of working in General Practice, he is now largely retired, but is still involved in some specific projects.
He has been a GP for his whole career within the NHS, and having trained in various areas across Greater Manchester, after qualifying he joined our Minden site as a GP back in 1992.
During his time as a GP, Dr. de Vial gained a special interest in minor surgery along with organisational leadership. Prior to taking his retirement he was the Chair and Registered Manager of Tower Family Healthcare.
The part of the job he most enjoyed was developing ongoing relationships with patients and families over many years. Seeing how regular people coped with difficult circumstances and standing alongside them at the most testing of times has also been a humbling experience for him. He is also incredibly proud to be part of our hardworking and caring team who always go the extra mile to provide the best possible care for our patients.
Outside of work he enjoys watching Sale Sharks play rugby, he is a supporter of the Special Olympics ski group where his son is a slalom skier, and he is kept very busy spending time with his grandchildren.
