Dr. Ahmad Ali is a GP Partner who is based at our Greenmount site.
Originally trained as a surgeon with a special interest in urology, he later made the move into General Practice, training and qualifying as a GP at our Greenmount site.
Dr. Ali is our clinical lead for medical students working closely with the University of Manchester. He is also the Deputy Clinical Director for Horizon Primary Care Network which brings six forward thinking Practices together to offer quality, responsive and personalised care. In addition, he is the clinical lead for Bury’s Acute Visiting Service that sees paramedics working closely with Practice teams across Bury, a service that he set up alongside Dr. Kath Hampson.
He also has previous experience working with Bury’s individual funding request panel, where requests to fund a treatment which would not usually be provided by the NHS, are considered.
With a special interest in urology, he enjoys providing continuity of care for his patients, often getting to know generations of the same family, along with the operational side of the role and trying to make things work more efficiently.
Outside of work he enjoys playing cricket, badminton and watching Formula 1.
